The Best Non Plastic Sippy Cup Goes Too….
I am here to save the day with this great option for a more eco-friendly sippy cup. I came across these after feverishly doing research on an eco-friendly cup option that could house our beloved smoothies daily. We don’t just use them for smoothies, they also serve as a trainer cup for my kiddos to get used to drinking out of a straw.
The best sippy cups are these Elk and Friends cups. They come without harmful chemicals and win every award in my book.
The Best Non-Toxic Sippy Cups & Their Sizes
8 Ounce Original Glass Cup With Silicone Sleeve
10 Ounce Stainless Steel Cup With Silicone Sleeve
12 Ounce Glass Cup With Silicone Sleeve
14 Ounce Stainless Steel Cup With Silicone Sleeve
16 Ounce Glass Mason Jar With Silicone Sleeve
They are both a straw cup and can also be used as an open cup for training your older ones. They are a little different than your traditional sippy cups with tiny drinking spouts that claim to not spill. These have straws and may leak but they are better in the long run.

We love the different colors to choose from, and how easy they are to clean after a thick smoothie gunk’s up the inside. This plastic-free sippy cup has easy-grip handles on the outside made from a food-grade silicone sleeve and the straws are also very easy to clean!
Sippy cups just weren’t going to cut it. The jammed spout section of those cups full of smoothies was not about to happen day in and day out. I also really wanted a cup that could serve as a transition cup and felt the regular cup such as the sippy style just didn’t work for us.
I researched. A lot. I tried many options. They failed. I donated. Then I came across these.
A good toddler cup must fall into this criteria:
- Must not leak
- Aren’t too large
- Have lids
- Have a thick silicone straw for easy smoothie intake
- Are easy to clean
- Are eco-friendly

I have been talking about this company for a long time and love that there provided a better choice for parents when it comes to a child’s drink cup. I have a hard time just caving in and buying plastic products because that is what is marketed to us as parents. The ease of use with cleaning and drinking scores points in this mama’s book!
Other companies with eco friendly cups I love
I have talked about them on my podcast several times, and now I am finally getting around to writing a blog post about them! I will also do a YOUTUBE review, so check this out as well in this post!
The original 8 oz. glass cup are durable. My kids have dropped them on concrete and they have not broken. The 8 oz. stainless steel options are a more lightweight and safer option if you don’t like glass. I have both, and equally enjoy both.
I also have purchased the 12 oz. glass mason jar size, and have loved them as my kids are getting older and drinking more in one sitting. They really have an abundance of options, but I will say these straw sippy cups are not just about the cups themselves, the training that comes with using them is invaluable to me.
For the 12 ounces of liquid cup: the straws don’t come with stoppers. This is a huge problem for a mom with a 3,2, and 1 year old. I can’t have them yanking their straws out of the cups. Smoothie goes everywhere. So I use the 8 oz. straws for the 12 oz. cups because they come with a stopper. Then I invested in back ups. STRAW STOPPERS ARE A MUST!
I love how cheap they are, and I love the silicone feature because no toxic chemicals! Enjoy
