Galations 1:10 says- Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people I would not be a servant of Christ.

Romans 12:3 says- For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

My favorite verse for this topic: Phil 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things

  1. BE GRATEFUL

We all have people who love us, support us, and are there for us in this life if ours. Think about those people. Remind yourself of the last time someone was selfless for you.

Delete the negative thoughts in your life when you feel mom comparison creep in. Remember all that you have been given and be happy and thankful for it.

2. Remember the real truths of social media + be aware when it gets toxic

Social media is not good or bad- it falls completely in the camp of how you use it is how you are affected.

Just know many people are very selective about what they are sharing on social media these days. When you find yourself comparing just remember you are comparing your whole entire life against another person’s highlight reel for the day or moment.

3. Have supportive friends

This one is critical for me to point out. If you are surrounded by friends who do nothing but tear you down and compare their child to yours… it’s time to distance for a bit and seek out more supportive friends. Even if your circle gets cut into half it will be worth it.

When I think of a few friends of mine my heart feels nothing but thankfulness for their fellowship in my life. They are on my team. They are rooting me on. Even when I have success they are happy about it. When I fall flat on my face they are supportive.

Moms and friends who focus their energy on building each other up versus tearing each other down + who don’t cas judgements on your parenting styles even if it’s different than their own will increase your self esteem and confidence as you parent…
