Inside each bucket I included a book for each child, bubbles, easter egg chalk, color wonder mess free coloring pads, and then I added in 1 more scratch pad for my middle son who loves those. They are great for the car! 1 pack of tic tacs and each got a set of hotwheels cars. I also added in fun character bandaids like toy story, mickey mouse, and paw patrol as well as a fun character themed toothpaste. I also added in a bath crayon pen to each of their buckets.
For my little 2 year old I added in egg crayons that were good for dexterity and easier for him to hold but other than that I kept their gifts pretty aligned with one another.
I left out adding any candy to their buckets because I know we will do an Egg hunt and I don’t want an over indulgence of candy around the house. I like doing the bulk of the items things that can be used: toothpaste, bandaids, bath pens, chalk, etc. I also think adding in a fun mouthwash is fun too- our boys have really gotten into kids mouthwash and they love swishing and spitting at night.
So that is what I added to their buckets this year! Other notable mentions are for ideas for an Easter basket:
- Play dough
- New water bottle
- Rain boots used as an easter basket
- Colored pencils, crayons, and markers
- Family game or puzzle of some sort
- Socks
- Kids devotionals: We love the Louie Giglio Indescribale book, the Jesus Story Bible and the Berenstain Bears nighttime devotional
