My car always contains:

  • Car seats x3
  • DVD’s for movie player
  • Reusable grocery bags
  • Diaper bag + my purse with wallet etc.
  • Masks + hand spray
  • Coin purse
  • Sunglasses
  • Insurance docs in glovebox
  • Apple cord for Apple Car Play + Charging
  • Jumper cables

I got rid of our “basket” to catch clutter…. It caught clutter and the held onto it. No basket = no places to store knick knacks and clutter. This has been a recent change and I do like it better.

Recap after day is done…. Go out to the car and remove toys, books, trash, that has been left in it for the day. Shake out our rubber mats. Give interior a spray.

Bi- Weekly: vacuum, wipe down vents, dash, and steering wheel, exterior

(DIY car wash)

Every car organizing article ever written will tell you to keep a trash can in your car-

I think you can get away with just taking trash out when you get out of the car. Also, if you forget and HAVE TO HAVE a trash can- doggie bags work well. I don’t like the actual can concept… it takes up more space and can accumulate clutter.

Lose anything that has tendencies to accumulate clutter!
