Make A Sourdough Starter Today

Some Freezer Meals I Prepped Before Baby

  • Quiche : Bacon and Cheese
  • Chicken pot pie
  • Sourdough biscuits (raw ready to bake)
  • Sourdough English muffins breakfast sandwiches
  • Cilantro lime chicken served with rice (trader joes rice)
  • Breakfast burritos
  • Veggie Enchiladas
  • Lasagna
  • White Chicken Chili
  • Cookie dough for a dessert

Some top staple dutch oven meals are:

  1. Chicken with a red/white wine sauce

If I am in a pinch for time I will throw in a few frozen chicken breasts into a Dutch oven around 10am or even 12pm when my kids go down for their naps. I will add in garlic, white wine, red sauce, or even a vodka pasta sauce, with some salt and pepper and get a nice chicken dish going. Pair it with a fresh seasonal veggie of choice, or a salad and a pasta and it is truly such an easy and effortless meal.

  1. Baked chicken with potatoes and carrots simmered in a broth and herbs

  2. Curry chicken with rice

  3. A roast made with a cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup with potatoes and veggies

5. Dutch oven artisan bread

Another really easy meal we have been loving right now is polenta with mozzarella, red sauce, a few black olives and some basil. It is simple and it is Italian. A staple for sure.

I also have been loving chicken or even beef enchiladas. They are full of flavor and the meal lasts us at least 2-3 days. I layer it with a sour cream/ enchilada sauce, corn tortillas, cheese, olives, cilantro, chicken, lime, and any other garnishes like avocado. It is loaded with flavor and goes really well with a homemade guacamole or salsa.

You can also check out my quinoa nachos/ enchiladas here.

For breakfast we have been loving to make oatmeal pancakes as well as buttermilk pancakes from scratch. They are always a crowd favorite with the kids and they are filling. I will make bacon with it and call it a meal! I also have been loving to make sourdough biscuits and enlish muffins. They are so good!

Superfood smoothies are also a huge hit in our home. Never underestimate the power of your blender. It can be a quick meal on the go that requires little to no clean up. Some of our favorite smoothie add ins are:

  • -Spinach
  • -Bee Pollen
  • -Hemp hearts
  • -Yogurt + Frozen fruit
  • -Honey
  • -Avocado
